Batlagundu creche

Many years ago we paid for the crèche building to be redecorated and for new toys. Since then, we have been giving an annual donation towards the cost of the childrens mid-day meals and milk.

The creche looks after two and three year-old children from very poor families, whilst their mothers go to work.  They are safe and well cared for, have access to medical care if they need it, given a healthy mid-day meal and snacks and start their education - by playing and singing songs, including learning English.

Here they are showing off their new school uniforms.

Children United! has also paid for lots of games and rides for the children.

Here the children are having their lunch and they have a tumbler of milk three times a week.

After lunch, they all have a little sleep!

In 2010, Hunsbury Park School, Northampton and Stanion School have paid for the lunches and milk - THANK YOU ALL!

Here are photos taken in 2011 of the children enjoying their milk and snacks.

2011 - Thank you to Weston Favell Primary School for their donation towards the children's meals - £100.00!

2012 - £80.00 given to help pay for the food and milk.

2013 - £150.00 given and we were a little sad to hear that Sister Mary Luke had been transferred, but thrilled to hear that Sister Marie Louise is now in charge.

2014 - sadly this year we were unable to help but . . . .

2015 -  £150.00 given by the children at Weston Favell Primary School!  Thank you!!!

2016 - £150.00  - given from general funds.  Would anyone like to adopt this project? The toddlers only need £100 - £150 each year.

2017 - Pattishall School have given £66.33  towards this year's total.  Thank you all SO much!  PLUS - they have just sent us another £10!  PLUS Delapre School gave us £151.89 for these children.

Here are some of the children playing with balloons that Mrs Millers gave them.  Do some of the children look similar?

Three of them are triplets and arrive each morning on a motorbike!
